BOYA BY-DM500 Cardioid XLR Dynamic Microphone for Podcasts - Black

The BOYA BY-DM500 is a dynamic microphone designed for podcasting, broadcasting, voice-overs, and studio work. A 20 Hz-20 kHz frequency response supports the capture of full and balanced vocals and instruments at close range. The most important advantages of the BOYA BY-DM500 microphone:

Focus on the voice: the cardioid pattern primarily collects sound in front of the microphone.
Wide frequency response: 20 Hz - 20 kHz range supports natural and balanced recordings.
Durable housing: the metal construction is ready for regular work at the station.
Power-free operation: the microphone does not require batteries or phantom power.
Convenient installation: adjustable holder and two thread standards make it easy to position the microphone.

Cardioid pattern focuses the recording towards the front

The microphone picks up sound best from the capsule's direction, so speak directly towards it. This helps reduce background and side noise, which is useful for podcasts, broadcasts, and voiceovers.

The 20 Hz - 20 kHz band supports full sound

The wide frequency range allows for the capture of both lower and higher sound components. The microphone is suitable for recording voices and instruments at close range, maintaining a balanced sound.

Metal construction increases durability

The microphone housing is made of metal, providing a durable design for frequent use. The included foam windscreen helps reduce airflow and unwanted noise when speaking at close range.

No batteries or phantom power required

The dynamic design allows for operation without an additional power source. By connecting the microphone via XLR cable to a suitable interface, mixer, or other audio device, you can start recording without the need for batteries.

Adjustable holder makes it easy to position the microphone

Side knobs allow you to adjust the microphone's angle and lock it in place. The mounting hole accepts 5/8-inch and 3/8-inch threads, allowing you to mount the microphone on a suitable stand or microphone arm.
